I saw on your blog about SOL Team - just to be clear

We decide to not go to the superfinal, we take this
decision on setember based in folowing facts:

a)  Last year we was against the FAI Open certification
because we dont believe on test flights with factory
pilot at trimm speed - we sugest to vorbiden the trimmers
and any fix speed sistem because we are speaking of
diferent gliders if you test closed trimmers and fly open.....

b) We was against the solution of use of D gliders on
the most important competitons because we know
that en-D is very open certification - includes old
DHV 2-3 and 3 class - this means we return with
DHV 3 glider at same class as people believe that
are flying a 2-3 glider - remember since 2000 no
factory offer any dhv 3 glider because don´t exist
clients for that - seeh table issued by DHV 2 years
ago when start the new certification A,B,C and D

(DHV info)

c) since begin 2011 we speak about a EN-E or EN-EX
(experiemental class - like many kind of planes,
UL, saiplanes, baloon, etc) to be used on competitons
- we believe serial class must keep serial as before
and be more promote

d) we decide to not produce any hot D gliders in
setember (see Parapente + nr 420 editorial with
my decision ) just because we don´t know or don´t
 have a reasonable solution for:

1) how to split normal D to Hot D (we already need to
take care on new D gliders to be not far from traditional
2-3 gliders - but new 2010/2011 D generation already
has more demand as 2-3 generation before

2) how to sell 2 diferent gliders on same class where
performance is very important...

3) promote too much this kind of glider can turn
safe something that is not safe (remember many
2 lines pilots was speaking that his glider is most
safe glider , etc - they mixed stability to performance
, take time to understand that 2 line gliders are much
more stable but not more safe

4) Used maket behaviour - used D gliders go to
the market as certified gliders - if is hot or not
is other question that client can learn too late
(before was easy - competition is competition
- nobody ask for a safe competition, they ask for
a flyable most performance glider and take the risk
himself.

We will see the statistics, results and how eficient
is this competition to the brand and sport - we can
choice other ways we have been sucessfull since
many years - XC world records, acrobatics and
incredible expeditions.

Now a realistic statistic about acidents, rescues,
incidents is necessary to promote the high level
competitons with a realistic safety

Sincerelly
